Futuristic Visions From The Past!

I absolutely love these images! I came across them a couple of years ago and they still continue to inspire me. Not only do I love them for their fabulous futuristic interiors and architecture but also for their sense of optimism they present for the future. These images were all used in early 1960's advertising, they would have been found in the pages of Life Magazine and the Saturday Evening Post. It was a very exciting time! This excitement was caused by things such as space exploration, the harnessing of new building materials and the domestic bliss found with new household gadgets. These ideas present themselves within these somewhat romantic images. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. x

Bohemian Like You

There's nothing like a big soft engulfing couch, a light filled room and a good book to keep you company on a Saturday afternoon. I have just finished reading the follow on autobiography from Faithfull by Marianne Faithfull's titled  Memories, Dreams and Reflections. Both are great reads, she had a fascinating life and I can thoroughly recommend both. Now to the next Rock and Roll autobiography... Life by Keith Richards
